Goals are benchmarks you hope to reach with your crowdfunding campaign. They allow you to share ways you hope to use the funding, show your campaign’s progress and can motivate patrons.

It is great to have at least a couple goals. Start with one that is reasonably attainable; this helps show you’re making progress. *Don’t forget these are goals for monthly funding, not a one time goal! Then, consider setting a second (or more) larger goal for what you hope to do if you can raise more funds.

Some podcasters struggle with goals because they just want to raise money to support ongoing show costs. It’s okay to say this, and this might be your first goal with secondary goals for expansion, new content, adding special guests, equipment upgrades and special projects.
