With Podbean’s Ad Marketplace, advertisers can discover and run ads on your podcast, tapping into the power of podcast advertising. Here’s how to run ads on your podcast and sign up for our Ad Marketplace.
1. Join Ad Marketplace
Step 1: Sign into your account at https://sponsorship.podbean.com/podcasters, go to the “Podcasts” page where lists your podcast feed. Click on "Join Ad Marketplace" to get ad opportunities.
Step 2: Under “Ad Settings” on the same page, you can select whether you want to opt-in to ads by default or if you will review each advertiser manually and decide to opt-in to their advertising or not.
• Opting-in to ads by default will allow ads to automatically start running without awaiting approval.
• Review manually requires pre-approval before any ads run. You can also set whether or not to receive notifications when your podcast is selected by an advertiser.
Step 3: Click the “Actions” dropdown menu to the right of your podcast, you can set the minimum amount of money that you will accept for running ads on your podcast. Ads with a lower CPM than your minimum CPM will be blocked from your podcast.
2. Set Ad Time Slot
After joining the ad marketplace, all you need to do is set the ad time slots for your podcast. The default setting is for pre-roll and post-roll ads to be inserted at the beginning and end of each episode (before and after your audio content). Don’t forget to set the mid-roll time slot which is a high-value ads position.

3. Manage Campaign
Once your podcast is selected by an advertiser to run their campaign, you will be able to view the campaign details, targeted GEO, and listen to the ads in the "Ads" page.
Your podcast is opt-in the ads by default. If you’ve set manually opt-in an ad in your ads settings, you can decide to Opt-in or Opt-out. Click on ”Opt-in” under the “Action” to run the ads and the status will change from “Awaiting Review” to “Running”, otherwise the ad will not be inserted into your podcast. You can also opt out of an ad campaign anytime you want.
4. View Advertising Stats
Once the campaign is running, you will see how much you’ve earned and the ad impressions. Click on “Dashboard” to view the detailed information about how the ads were served in your podcast.
