You can start livestreaming on the Podbean app in a few minutes by following these simple steps. (Please create your Podbean account first.)


1. Start Livecast


Log into your Podbean account, click the red Record button on the app home page, then click the Start Livecast button. You can also click the person icon on the app home page, then click the red Record button and click the Start Livecast button.


2. Set up Livecast


When you enter the Live Show Setup page, please upload your live show photo/logo, add your live show title and live show description. You can also mark the show as explicit, select a category for your live show, and set the limit for early bird free admissions. After finishing your live show setup, you can click the Start Now button to start your live show.


3. Interact with Listeners


When you enter the live room, you’re now live streaming. You can begin speaking using your mic (headphones with mic required). Along with audio, you can send text messages and emojis to your listeners. To send text messages and emojis, you can click the text icon on the bottom of the live show page, then input a message in the text box, or click the emoji icon.


4. Check Fans’ Engagement/Livecast Description


You can check your audience engagement under your profile photo. You can click the About button on the top right corner of the live show page to check your live show description. You can also click the little arrow icon on the top right corner of the live show page to check your ranking this month among live show hosts, and to check your fans’ engagement on this live show or for the month. 


5. Invite Cohost/Guest


If you want to invite your co-host or a guest, you can click the green person icon under the live show title, then input your co-host/guest’s email to invite them.


6. Enable/Disable Listener Call-in


You can click the list icon on the bottom of the live show page to enable/disable listener call in. You can also mute and unmute your live show.


7. View/Block Listener


You can click the profile photo of your listener in the chat section, then view his/her profile or block the listener.


8. Add Audio Effects


You can click the star icon on the bottom of the live show page, then choose from various audio effects to add (click to play the effect).


9. Add Background Music


You can click the music icon on the bottom of the live show page, then click the Add Music button to add background music. On the Add background music page, you can directly add background music by clicking “+” button on the right of the title of the background music. You can also click the Import music button to add external audio files. You can select the play mode, and adjust the volume of the background music on the mini player.


10. Share Livecast


You can click the Share icon on the bottom of the live show page to promote your live show on social media.


11. End/Minimize Livecast


When you finish your live show, you can click the Exit icon on the top right corner of the live show page, then click the End button on the pop-up window to end your live show. You can also click the Minimize button on the pop-up window to minimize your live show. After you finish your live show, you can check the run time of your live show, your Podpoints earned, participants, and new followers.


Note: If you schedule a live show on the Podbean website, this scheduled live show cannot be run on the app.
