Note: You can also invite co-hosts in the session room by tapping the person icon.
3. Test Audio with your Co-hosts
After connecting with your co-hosts, you should test your audio and adjust your volume to make sure you can record with the best sound quality.
4. Record Audio
Tap the Record button to start recording when you’re ready. You can tap to pause and resume recording at any time. During the session, you can mute yourself when you’re not speaking, and you can also use text messages/emojis for non-verbal discussions with the group.
5. End Recording
Tap the Exit icon-->End button to end your group recording.
6. Upload Recording
After you end your recording, your recording will be uploaded to the servers.
Important: DO NOT close the page until uploading is complete!
7. Get Recording
You will get two kinds of recordings after you finish the group recording. One is the cloud recording for the whole session, the others are the local recordings of you and your co-hosts.
1) Get the cloud recording for the whole session on the Podbean app:
You can go to the Profile page–>My Recordings to check the whole recording. You can directly edit the recording and publish it as an episode in the app.
Tap here to read more on how to edit the recording, and how to merge or split the draft.
Note: The audio quality for the cloud recording is related to the internet connection. If you prefer to get the highest quality, we recommend you download the separate audio recordings on the Podbean website.
2) Get the separate recordings of you and your co-hosts on the Podbean website:
These recordings are recorded locally on your smartphone and your co-hosts’, so they’re not affected by the internet connection. They will be uploaded to the cloud after you finish the recording.
You can click the download icon to download the separate audio tracks of each speaker in the Media Manager of your Podbean account dashboard. The file name consists of gr, recording date, nickname of the speakers and the time spot when joining the session. Such as, gr_202204191411_Gloria_start_at_6m20s.m4a. You can easily find them according to your nickname and those of your co-hosts.
