Using our embeddable player, you can embed your private podcast episodes on your company’s internal websites. You can also create customized private embedded playlists. 

This is a great feature, as an example, if you’re looking to create a landing page for your private podcasts behind your company’s security. 

Below are the steps to embed a single private podcast episode or a playlist of your private podcasts on your website.

There are many great uses for embedding a single private podcast episode. As an example, you can embed a single podcast episode into a post for your employees that can only be accessed behind your company’s security. Embedding a player in a post can allow your employees to have both an audio and a visual reference for your content. Here’s how to embed a single private podcast episode. 

1. Log into your organizational dashboard.
   
   
2. Click on the podcast channel where the episode that you wish to embed is published. 
   
   
3. On the left hand column, click on Episodes - Episode List. 
   
   
4. Find the episode you wish to embed. Hover your cursor over the episode, then click on Share and Embed. 
   
   
5. Under the Reference URL header, click the Add button. Type in the URL of the website that you will be embedding the episode to. Then, click Save. 
   
   
6. You should now have a variety of customization options for your embeddable player, as well as a newly created embed code. Let’s go over the customizable features:
   
   You can select your player’s color and button color. 
   1. Select the height for your embeddable player. You can also select “Other Size” to type in a custom height.  
   2. The font dropdown allows you to customize the font of your podcast embedded player. 
   3. The Right To Left text dropdown allows you to reverse the orientation of your text and your podcast logo.
   4. The Share dropdown allows you to hide or show the share button for listeners.
   5. The Download dropdown allows you to hide or show the download button for listeners. 
   6. Use the Display Order dropdown to select how your episodes will be ordered in your player.
   7. Type in the number of episodes that will appear in your player. 
   8. Use the Episode Filters dropdown to further customize what episodes appear in your playlist:
      1. By selecting Publish Time, you’ll include episodes that appear within a specified date range.
      2. By selecting Season Number, you can create a playlist for a specific season of your podcast.
      3. By selecting Tags*, you can create a playlist that’s specific to your episode tags you’ve designated for your episodes. 
         *You can enable episode tags by navigating to Settings - Plugins.
         
         
7. When you’re ready, copy your embed code.  
   
   
8. Paste the embed code into the website that you typed in in the previous step.
   
   
9. Your podcast episode should now be embedded into your company’s website. 

Playlist

Creating a playlist for your private podcast content can allow you to categorize your most important content into one easily accessible playlist. As an example, you could categorize all of your training podcasts into a single playlist, while categorizing your CEO’s meetings into another playlist and embedding each player on their own pages. This can make it easy for your employees to access the precise content they need and access previous podcast episodes. Here’s how to create and embed a private podcast playlist. 

1. Log into your organizational dashboard.
   
   
2. Click on the podcast channel where the episode that you wish to embed is published. 
   
   
3. On the left hand column, click on Distribution - Embeddable Player
   
   
4. On this screen, you’ll be able to create a customizable playlist player for your podcast episodes to embed on your website. As you make changes to the player, you will be able to preview them in real time on the left hand player. Before we get into customizing the player, let’s configure the reference URL.
   
   
5. In the Reference URL header, click the Add button. Type in the URL of the website that you will be embedding the episode to. Then, click Save. Note that you can add multiple reference URLs. **NOTE:** The embeddable player will only play on the pages that the reference URLs point to. If the player is embedded onto a page that does not match the reference URL, an error message will populate on the player.

***Please note if you’re using a reference URL for the private embed player, please make sure that your website allows the HTML element referrerpolicy="no-referrer-when-downgrade". The HTML element referrerpolicy="no-referrer-when-downgrade"  is used to authorize access to the embed player. 

If the HTML element referrerpolicy="no-referrer-when-downgrade" is forbidden or removed on your site, the embed player will refuse to connect and will not work properly.
