The “Podcast Type” determines how your content is structured and how episodes are displayed on your Podbean website and in your podcast’s RSS feed. Podbean offers two options:
1. Episodic: Episodes are presented from last to first (newest to oldest).
Best for podcasts where listeners don’t need to start at the beginning, such as news, interviews, or ongoing discussions.
2. Serial: Episodes are presented from first to last (oldest to newest).
Ideal for podcasts with a continuous story or series that requires sequential listening, such as fictional stories, educational series, or documentary-style content.
How to Change the Podcast Type:
1. From your Podcast Dashboard, go to Settings > General.
2. Unfold More Options.
3. Scroll down to Podcast Type and choose your preferred option (Episodic or Serial).
Can I change the Podcast Type later?
Yes, you can update the Podcast Type at any time. However, it’s best to align your choice with your content structure for a better listener experience.
