The timestamp of an episode refers to the publishing date and time associated with it. It determines when the episode is considered “published” on your Podbean website and in the RSS feed, which in turn affects its position in your podcast’s episode list.

How do episode timestamps affect the display order of episodes?

  • In Episodic podcasts, episodes are displayed from newest to oldest based on their timestamp.
  • In Serial podcasts, episodes are presented from oldest to newest in chronological order.
