This guide explains how to transfer a podcast channel from one account to another. Whether you’re merging channels from your individual account to a company account, or simply moving a channel between accounts, follow the steps below to complete the transfer smoothly.

The transfer of the channel will move the entire channel to another account, including its URL, feed, content, and stats.

Before you start to merge podcast channels,  please check if your target account is qualified to accept new podcast channels.

  • The target Podbean account must be a Podbean Unlimited Audio or above plan.

  • The target Podbean account must have enough available podcast channel slots to accommodate the new channels. See our article on how to purchase podcast channel slots.

Once you’ve verified the target account meets these conditions, take the following steps:

Definitions:

The podcast account you want to merge the podcasts into is called the Target Account.

The podcast channel you want to merge from is called the Source Podcast Channel or Source Account.

1. Log into the Target account and visit this link to submit a merge invitation:

https://www.podbean.com/site/user/mergeChannel

2. Enter the Source Podcast URL (e.g.  subdomain.podbean.com).  Please note that only Podbean hosted podcasts can be the Source Podcast. If you are looking for information on how to migrate podcasts from other hosting sites, read our podcast migration article.

3. Click the "Submit Merge Invitation" button and the system will send your invitation to the Source Podcast owner'a email.

4. Once the Source Podcast owner accepts your merge invitation in the email, the source podcast channel will be merged into your target account successfully.
